Thanks for reading over the lab guidelines. On Monday I will give a brief overview of the following as well.
1. Scalpels are dangerous and we are using high grade scalpels that are used for surgical procedures. If anyone is messing around, you will be removed from the classroom and will get a zero for the day.
2. Gloves- I will show you on Monday about sizing and how to properly remove them so that you do not get sheep on you. You're welcome.
3. Clothing- please dress comfortably and wear shoes. If your feet are showing, no dissection. I do have aprons and safety goggles for you to wear as well.
4. There will be volunteers in the classroom. Again, I know you are all wonderful individuals and are very respectful. Thank you for showing this to our guests as well.
5. Documenting the dissection- you may bring your phone on Monday to take pictures of the sheep brain. This is not to take selfies of you and your classmates. Please leave your chromebook in your locker, unless you are using that to take pictures. You will need your engineering notebook.
5. Cleaning area after dissection: you are responsible for cleaning up your area. This includes disinfecting all tools, tables, and protective gear. Your brain should be properly discarded in the trash. All scalpels must be accounted for before you leave the classroom.
6. No eating or drinking during this lab- we do not put anything in our mouths during lab. Common sense prevails!
I look forward to seeing your all on Monday.
Have a great weekend.
Mrs. R.
