Agenda for the Week of 3/19/18- 3/23/18

We will Know: problem statement, design statement, criteria, and constraints

We Will Understand: the difference between problem and design statements, criteria and constraints

We Will Be Able To: use the design process to create a solution to the problem statement.
You will use the criteria and constraints found in the design statement.

3/19/18- 3/23/18- Monday-Friday
Complete measurement work from Friday  (10-15 minutes) before review.
Lesson 2.1: Puzzle Design Challenge & Design Brief
Criteria vs Constraints
Slideshow- review of rubric

Using linking cubes, come up with as many shapes as possible using four, five, and
six cubes at a time. Remember to document your progress and draw thumbnail sketches of
each possible combination created. When you have met all criteria, you will begin gluing your
puzzle parts together, coloring or painting them, and creating an answer key.
Anyone using your answer key should be able to put your puzzle cube together, including you!
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you know how to take apart and put your puzzle cube
back together. This process will take a full week. If you finish before then, you will begin
creating isometric sketches and multiviews of each puzzle part. You will then dimension them,
using the given measurement found on the rubric.

Be patient and have fun,
Mrs. R.
